I've been doing some thinking about this system....
I think its missing these features:
  1. Patch number.
To wich patch this bug relates to?
Example: A8P1, which means Alpha Phase8 Patch number1.
  2. Status "Duplicate"
As more bugs will be posted by more ppl, i can already foresee that some will be duplicate reports of same bugs.
Would be best if the system kept auto track of these dupes within the original one, as links.
  3. Status "Related"
These are bugs that are related to other bugs.
Meaning they occure because of another bugs misbehaviour.
Would be best if the system kept auto track of these dupes within the original one, as links.
  4. Status "Re-Opened"
When a bug was fixed and then re-appears in a later patch...

2,3,4 should be able tobe set by others as well as you guys, to lift you from that work when possible.

What ya think?

1. If we only did a few patches, this could be useful.. however since we patch nearly on a daily basis this extra info wouldn't be of much help. Also we'd have to keep a log of exactly what files are changed each patch (patchnews wouldn't be detailed enough)
2. Could be useful, however you are warned when posting a bug that any duplicate bug reports are likely to be deleted
3. This one may be added at a later date, however for now we will treat them individually and just post a message if they're related to another bug
4. If we need to reopen a report, we will use one of the existing status' and just post further info on it

Please use the new area from now on, this forum is now locked
